Hello Lovely Readers,
You may have noticed that you haven’t received weekly e-mails from me over the last few weeks. I have decided to try a new format to help streamline and organize! If you can’t see the full e-mail, just click “view in browser”.
I’m going to try sending a round-up of the reviews and only send ARC reviews individually. If you would prefer to see reviews as they come out, you can follow my notes on Substack or my stories on Instagram! Enjoy!

Did Not Finish
I decided to DNF The Lager Queen of Minnesota by J. Ryan Stradal at 100 pages. I started this book for a local book club, knowing it was not in my favorite genre, and I just can't finish it. I'm bored to tears. I'm also really bothered by how realistically it portrays my peers when I was a teen (I wasn't a fan then and I'm not now). The super short sections also make it feel kind of like I'm watching Napoleon Dynamite. I suppose this is for you if you like contemporary women's fiction where main characters get married just so they can make beer, steal to make ends meet, and make the best pies in the world but don't think it matters.
I quit reading Secrets of a Lady by Laura Beers at 52% because a stalker has entered the scene. A stalker is basically an automatic ‘no’ for me when I’m reading, so I sadly quit reading. It was an interesting and entertaining story otherwise.

Oh, i like this new format! How often do you think you will send these round-ups? I had a hard time keeping up with a weekly email, so I think this will be easier for me to follow along with your reading journey!
That book by Stradal sounds absolutely dreadful 😅 even the brief DNF review was a bit painful to get through 😆
