Personal Review:
Andrews' books have become comfort reads for me. I love that I know content will not take me by surprise when I read her books and I can just settle in and and enjoy a cute and sweet journey with our main characters that are sure to have a happy ending.
This is the first Regency I have read from Andrews and it sat very well. I really enjoyed both the female and male main characters and how they both went through a process of understanding themselves better because they met each other.
I liked that Bel, our heroine, worked so hard to hide her emotions and that the duke was able to break down her barriers a little at a time. That was really lovely and sweet. Wexford is a Mr. Darcy type and I enjoyed his good humor about a lot of different situations.
My only complaint is that they seemed to laugh out loud an awful lot. Sometimes at strange times. It didn't seem to fit their serious natures, but they did bring out the best in each other, so maybe that wasn't such a bad thing.
Another great read from Andrews and I'm excited that this is a series about all of the sisters!
