Personal Review:
This is the third time I've read this book and the first time I've listened to it and it still gives me all the feels. I listened on YouTube from the channel AI Read to Me - with a full "cast" of characters - and it was marvelous. The different voices really added a lot and must have taken a lot of work on the part of the creator.
The exaggeration of the characters seemed even more pronounced this time. Mrs. Bennett is quite the obnoxious lady, as well as Lydia who is doing great at following in her mother's footsteps. Mr. Bennett's weaknesses also seemed more pronounced while listening to it.
Mr. Darcy was even more lovable. Lizzie's realization that she has misunderstood him and possibly misinterpreted his actions was powerful. And the second half of the book where they are both changing themselves and their minds about each other was just beautiful. I appreciate Lizzie more than ever - a great character that has a strong sense of independence but is willing to change her mind when she realizes she has been wrong.
This was a great way to consume a Jane Austen book and I hope to do more like this!
