Welcome, friends! You have found my quaint little home on the internet. Since you are probably new here, I want to give you an idea of what you will find in this space so you can decide if you want to sit and stay a while.
📚 Book Reflections
This is the most used section of the blog, where I store reflective reviews of my top-rated books. Imagine this as the library filled with cozy chairs and a tea service where we share how books have touched us and revealed more of our humanness to us.
See what I look for when I read.
✒ Scribbles
Likely coming from the desk in the library, these notes are the extras that I gather here. The scribbles that aren’t worth an entire post, the lists that I want to share but are not particularly deep, or the journal prompts currently inspiring me.
Check out my list of must-read authors.
🌸 Pondering with Miss Mason
A group of books that have challenged and changed the way I mother and educate my children is the Original Homeschooling Series written by Charlotte Mason. She is known mostly for making waves in education but I argue she was also a parenting expert beyond her time. Imagine this section as the kitchen, with more tea at the table, and Charlotte Mason joining us in a conversation about motherhood.
See what I’ve learned about parenting from Miss Mason.
🌿 Healing from the Heart
Welcome to one of my favorite rooms in the home, the apothecary. This is not where we mix medicine to heal from the outside, but where we learn how to heal from the inside. I hope to apply what I’ve learned about homeopathy and German New Medicine to our lives (or sometimes the lives of the characters I read about) so we can have healthy hearts and bodies.
See my article on GNM and homeopathy for busy moms.
