This is from a series I wrote when I was blogging as a homeopathic health coach. It is basic information that I wanted to leave available for free but may not pertain to my most recent blogging venture :).

Keep in mind that nothing I say here has been evaluated or approved by the FDA. Each individual will respond differently to using homeopathy. Everyone uses homeopathy without coercion, fully aware of the risks involved.
Babies and the Elderly
Babies and the elderly are what we consider to be a "sensitive" group of clients. Babies are lovely to use homeopathy on because their symptoms are often so pure and clear. I gave remedies to my last baby within hours of being born, with great results. I take remedies to the birth room just for the baby. If you're a beginner, stick to 6C for babies, giving as few doses as possible to see results.
The dosing is similar for the elderly as well. Unless your elderly loved one has a strong constitution, 6C is a comfortable potency. If the 6C doesn't seem to work well and your loved one has good vitality, go ahead and try a 30C in acute situations.
Pregnancy and Nursing
Pregnant moms are my absolute favorite clients to work with. If you can get mom feeling well and thriving in her pregnancy, the baby will be healthier. Plus, mom gets to enjoy the time she has carrying, birthing, and caring for the little one. Homeopathy can help relieve the burdens of stress or weakness during this time.
There are a couple remedies that may lead to contractions if they are taken too often. It's rare, but good to be aware to use these remedies with caution: Apis, Cimicifuga, and Caulophylum.
Nursing is another great time to do what you can to bring balance and health to mom. Sometimes a well-chosen remedy for mom can bring relief to baby as well!
One common question is if the baby "gets" the remedy that mom takes. There are differing opinions on this but I am inclined to say 'no'. I don't believe the remedy can be passed through the milk. But I do believe that when mom is healthy and balanced, that the baby will also benefit and may become healthier as a result.
While Taking Medication
Homeopathy as no known contraindications with medications. This means you can take remedies no matter what medications you are taking or treatments you are undergoing. In fact, homeopathy may help make your other medical care be more effective in some ways.
HOWEVER, a homeopathic remedy could potentially bring your body back into balance enough that you could reduce the need for your medication. This is particularly important to watch if you are on blood thinners, as too much medication can cause problems.
If the dose of your medication is a concern, work closely with your physician to monitor any changes that may occur while you are taking remedies.
Provings and Aggravations
I need to remind you that while homeopathy is generally considered safe for all stages of life, you can still dose inappropriately and experience provings or aggravations.
