Books in Mothmar series: #1 Daughter of the Sun
Solyana is on a quest with her friends to fulfill the ancient prophecy. Pallah is on a search for the story her mother wants her to hear. And, all the while, someone else is watching them both.
Personal Review:
Ooooh what fun. Okay, maybe "fun” isn't the exact right word but I really loved it. I love going back into established worlds and seeing them come to life even more. I love knowing the characters and learning even more about them and seeing them struggle. And I love mammoth companions, need I say more?
The two timelines of our main female characters, Solyana and Pallah, intersect even more in this second in the series and it has been really satisfying to read. We also have a third point of view that added a new layer. It is so hard to say more without spoiling anything, so I'll end with that the mammoth journey was really cool - I loved it.
Half star off for that pesky little cus word that seems to love YA fantasy books 🙃.
Content Warnings:
murder (a character really finds their evil side) with a couple semi-graphic murder scenes, 3-4 uses of a cus word
